Let’s talk about the frame first. This time we increased the thickness of the frame to 100mm. Don’t underestimate this change in thickness, it can greatly improve the load-bearing capacity and deformation resistance of the entire box. The previous product occasionally had a slight deformation of the frame when it encountered a relatively strong external force impact. Now that the thickness has increased, this situation will basically not happen again. Let’s look at the shell. The original shell thickness was 0.35mm, and this time it was directly increased to 1.2mm. Not only the thickness, but also the material has been changed from galvanized iron plate to galvanized steel plate. Iron plate and steel plate look similar, but there is a big difference in reality. Steel plate has higher hardness and stronger impact resistance. In the past, when galvanized iron plates were used, dents might be left when they collided with hard objects. Now, 1.2mm galvanized steel plates have been replaced, and bumps in daily use will basically not affect the appearance and structure. Moreover, the galvanized layer can better protect the steel, is not easy to rust, and has a much longer service life than before.
The insulation layer of the wall panel has also been upgraded. The original conventional 75mm insulation layer has now been changed to 100mm. After the insulation layer becomes thicker, the heat insulation and thermal insulation effects have been significantly improved. Whether in hot summer or cold winter, the temperature inside the box can be more stable. For example, in summer, when the temperature outside is very high, it will not be as stuffy as before; in winter, it can also better retain heat, making it more comfortable to use.
The welding process has also changed greatly this time, and full welding is adopted as a whole. The previous welding process had some discontinuous welding points, which may become loose at the joints over time. Full welding means that all the places that should be welded are welded full, without gaps, so that the components are connected more firmly. In this way, the structural integrity of the entire box is stronger, and the ability to resist wind and impact is naturally improved.
In terms of material, we use cold-dip galvanized steel. This material itself has good anti-corrosion properties and is suitable for use in most environments. If it is used in places such as the seaside where there is strong wind, heavy humidity and high salt content, the frame and shell can be replaced with hot-dip galvanized steel. Hot-dip galvanized steel has better anti-corrosion properties and can be used for a long time in harsh environments such as the seaside, and is not easily corroded by sea breeze and sea water.
After these upgrades, the new hurricane-proof double-wing expansion box is not only more solid in structure, but also weighs a lot more, and its wind resistance can reach level 12.
